The Intensity of Prayer Brings One Closer to God

Greetings to you, my friends. I am Michael Collier. I come to talk about something that is of vital importance and I ask you a question. Do you desire to be awake, awakened by God’s Love, awakened within your conscious self to the spiritual truths of love and the presence of God in your life? Many of you pray for this and certainly you long for this at certain times and situations. But I urge you, my friends, to desire intensely, long fervently for the awakening of your soul.
You know the ways and means for this awakening. You continue to pray for the great gift of Love that is the Essence of God’s Soul. You seek to know truth and to live your life as a reflection of truth and love. All of these things will bring to you a conscious awakening of the soul. But there is an ingredient that is of the utmost importance and that is desire.
You may pray for God’s Love and it may trickle into your soul day by day, drop by drop. But unless you truly desire to awaken to it, to be aware and to express this love in your life, you will not know the effects of this love in the way that will bring great change to you, great awakening to you. Because you have not allowed or encouraged this shift of consciousness within you.
This is understandable, because you live in the material world and you have material concerns to attend to. Thus, these things take priority over your spiritual pursuits. Or, shall I say often they do. But there are times when you are focused and you have a deep desire to be spiritually awake, to truly be a being of light. In being a being of light, you will have conscious awareness of the Love of God within your soul, the great Oversoul of God around you, and the desire of God to connect with you, plus the opportunities and avenues of awareness that will come to you as a result of your soul awakening in a conscious way.
All these things are determined by your choice, how you conduct your life. What is it that you think about? What is it that you pray about? What is it that you feel within that tender heart of yours? For these things collaborate together, bringing deeper awareness to your consciousness, bringing change to your thinking, bringing impetus to your actions. These things are a reflection of how far you have journeyed upon the path.
There are some of you here that are very new to this, others who have spent a lifetime in prayer. One would expect that those who have prayed for Divine Love are very aware of the changes and the transformation that takes place within the soul. Yet some who are new to this are more receptive. Their desire is fresh and strong. Therefore, they have greater awareness than those who have trod this path for a very long time and have often taken for granted what it is that is given.
That freshness of a new start, a new beginning may often open up doors and avenues of awareness to bring your consciousness more in alignment with God and God’s Love. Indeed, many who have trod this path for a long time have had these experiences, have known this freshness and the power of God’s Touch upon them in a conscious and palpable way.
Yet it is important to renew your commitments, your desires, to take note of your thoughts and those things within you that motivate you. Without awareness, without desire, the soul will continue to grow, but not often in a way that is vital and clear to your conscious self. Renew your commitments, my beloved friends. Renew your desire. Seek more deeply the blessing of God’s Love.
Each day is a new beginning. Each day offers the possibility of deep and rewarding experiences with God and to understand your true self, your true nature. These things do not come easily, except when you are in what may be called the honeymoon phase of your relationship with God. Where all is fresh and new and exciting, and all is given freely because your desire, your openness, your willingness is strong. Therefore, the experience of receiving God’s Love, knowing the angels close, knowing God close to you, is clear and powerful.
This is a wonderful gift to you. God upholds you. God uplifts you. God shows you the way and God does not restrict his blessings to you. As you well know, the strength and depth of your desire in prayer will determine the power of the blessing of God’s Love upon you. Some are very aware of these things, are sensitive and know them well. Others struggle to find the consciousness of the soul and to entertain the consciousness of the soul.
But nonetheless, whether you are aware or not, you are still receiving this gift and growing with this gift. But do you not want to know these things in a conscious way? In a beautiful unfolding journey of knowing God’s Love and feeling it enter your soul? Surely, each one of you desires this. So, I give you the key. More desire, more desire and more desire to receive this gift. To make this the focus, especially in prayer. To know this gift in a more intense and deeper way as you continue upon this journey of awakening.
As you are sensitised to the soul, as your soul continues to awaken because the Divine Love is working upon you, then it becomes easier to feel and know the presence of God and the Touch of His Love upon you. Much can be given, my beloved friends. There is no limit to what can be given. It is only you that limits your awareness and the possibilities of the inflow of God’s Love.
Be aware, my beautiful friends. Be true to your soul’s longing. Allow this longing to rise up within you, an aching burning desire to know the Love of God. Can you feel and know this in your prayers as you gather together, as you sit in your private place in prayer, as you walk along the street, as you experience your daily life? Is that longing ever present? Is that longing burning within you? Do you truly desire the gift that is offered by God?
I urge you to consider this. Because each of you, deep within, there is a deep and abiding longing that must come to consciousness, must come into your prayers, must be the expression of your true self reaching out to God and being his true child, innocent and powerful in your prayer and longing.

I merely wish to remind you and encourage you along the path so that you may find your way more readily. That you may find yourself, that self within that is full of desire and longing.
May you be blessed by the great gift of God’s Love. May you come to know this Love as your great centre, that pinnacle of light that exists within you and grows higher and wider, stronger, more beautiful with every day. God bless you, my friends, and keep you in His Love.
