I am here, your brother, Yogananda. I come in the love of God.
My dear ones, who are precious souls, actors on the stage of life, playing out the divine plan. You know, actors that do this for a living rehearse, and when they are really in rapport with their character, they empty themselves, that they may be filled with whatever character they are portraying and in the fullness of that one. The parallel I wish to make is that your rehearsal is your prayer. This is easier said than done at times when the mind is so busy, when the world is so engaging. The sages of old came up with ways to calm the mind, and of course, you are familiar with the spiritual cosmic sound of Om. I encouraged my students on earth to emit this, or just to simply hum (hums to demonstrate), to harmonize the body, the soul, the mind, to bring a higher vibration and a focus, so that the mind may fall back and the soul dwell in the presence of God. Sometimes it is recommended to light a candle and to stare into the flame, or I shall say gaze into the flame, to quiet the mind. A song will do this. Especially a song that aspires to the highest and lifts the vibrations. All these are prayerful practices, and they bring results.
One can recite prayers and can read all the spiritual books and the wonderful messages that have come through these spiritual channels, but still, one must engage and activate the longings of the soul, those longings between you and God, and allow for the response. For as the heart is opened and the soul’s longings call out, God always responds. This message is not only for you, beloved souls, but for those who may peruse it at some later date or hear it, who struggle with these issues.
When one begins to feel the holy presence of God, one begins to sense with clarity the guidance that leads one forward on this spiritual journey to the fountainhead of God’s great love. You can wish to solve these things with the mind, to calculate a specific equation, to consider all the possibilities, to enquire and ask others and you will get answers, but consider this; you go into this place, this holy place, this place of joy, this place of the mind free and open and that whatever you were considering, suddenly a lightbulb goes on and we are able to bring you an answer.
We can influence you; we can open a spiritual door so that you may see the way forward, and so we consistently ask you to take advantage of this rapport with God, with us, with each other. You have nothing to lose, except perhaps things you don’t need on your walk, your closer walk with God, and everything to gain. As you let go and you allow God and His helpers, we shall say, to carry you forward through all the turbulence, all the chaos, all the noise, all the darkness, with the light of love in your heart and your soul.
May you continue on this path, this blessed path, and may you consider my advice and share it with those in need, that this prayerful longing may embrace the many. With all the love in my soul, I thank you, and I shall step back in this prayer. I am your brother and friend, in Christ.
