The Now of God’s Love

My dear brothers and sisters, I come in the love of God. I am Yogananda.
Let us abide in this holy presence.
In the material world, beings live in linear time: past, present, and future. They make appointments, pay their bills on time, live and breathe sometimes by the clock. And then, some sage comes by and says, “Well, time is an illusion”, which sounds very appealing, until you get a toothache or a broken limb or realize you only have a few moments to accomplish something. And yet, to the soul who arrives in spirit, resurrected, time becomes irrelevant. And as I encouraged my students, my friends on earth to pray and meditate, that became the foundation of living in the presence of God, the timeless presence of grace, the touch of eternity upon one living in moments.
As you receive the great love of God, your soul begins to take precedence over the material mind and the constraints of a world living on a clock, because the love of God and His presence is now. The eternal now of grace, of love that allows you to transcend the earthbound realities. Did not the Master recommend not storing up your treasures on earth, not being concerned for your life and losing it, but following the path of God’s love, that you may gain eternal life?
Whenever you connect with us, you have connected with souls who have lived the earth life and continue to live on, on this path of the grace of God. The celestial guidance that we give is transcendent, and yet at the same time, we must serve you with practical advice that you may live out your lives on earth and be in the world and yet not of it, but as children of God. The service that we give freely is our joy. This, of course, is reflected in the service that you give, bringing comfort to those who are suffering, bringing the healing balm of the love in your soul to those in need, reflected in feeding the hungry, giving shelter to the homeless.
So, I ask you to cling to the holy garment of the Father’s love. Walk with us on this path that you may bring healing and a blessing to your brothers and sisters in a world that seems at times consumed in darkness, in greed, and violence. Yet even a drop of grace can bring light and hope and healing to the world. Let us stay in the grace of God, our hearts open, our souls’ longings connecting that we may truly be at one with the heavenly Father and serve the world in joy, in hope, in faith, and in His love. This is the yoga of happiness. This is the meditation, Divine.
I thank you, and with all my love and blessings, I shall step back. May the love of God be upon you and in you and work through you all the days of your lives on earth and beyond as you join us in the celestial kingdom.
