The Deeper Meaning of Sanctuary

It is I, Eileen Caddy, Auntie Eileen.
I encouraged my brother, whom I have spoken through on many occasions, to be present tonight, because I wished to speak about sanctuary, its deeper meaning, and its practicality. Every soul needs a sacred space, a place of safety, a place to commune with angels, a place to offer the longings of one’s soul to its Creator. When you come together in these circles, you create a magnetic field, allowing light and love to permeate each one, though you may be at a great distance from each other, physically. Are we not all one in the love of God?
In these times of great earth changes and turmoil, there is much fear, there is much anger and frustration. One who prays wonders quite simply, why can’t all people simply live in harmony? To you who have experienced true peace and the glow of love in your hearts and your souls, it may seem somewhat unfathomable to imagine another soul wishing to take the life of someone, to deprive them of food or shelter, or simply living in peace. So, sanctuary can be found as community, as I helped create with my husband and my friend Dorothy in Scotland, our place known as Findhorn, which became a model for many people wishing to create a sustainable future, a place where one could commune and meditate in safety, a place of tolerance for one’s beliefs, one’s path. All of this required a commitment to service, each one having their gifts, sharing with all and creating a place where many thousands of people have come over the years, drawn by its magnetism, its peace, its solace. For myself, I needed to commune directly with God and the angels and in the beginning, I would go to a place that was quiet, often a bathroom, to just be in silence, where I prayed, and I received answers and so much guidance. That was my sanctuary, and I learned over the years, whether at Findhorn or elsewhere in the world, that the love in my soul could provide sanctuary to everyone I met, in every circumstance. I tell you this to give you hope. I tell you these things that you may find great joy in giving from your heart, from your soul, comfort, guidance, and love to others, especially those in need.
So, there is the big boat, which is the community creating sanctuary, and there is, as the Buddhists say, “the little boat”, of simple prayer between one or a few, to our loving Creator to receive the blessings of Divine Love and guidance that we may be a blessing to the world.
There is such great joy in knowing that you have touched another soul, that you have fed a hungry mouth, that you have clothed and sheltered one in need and the greatest joy is knowing you have brought someone to the truth of receiving this great gift of love that transforms the soul from mortal to immortal, from human to divine.
I thank you for this time and my brother for taking this message and I wish you every blessing, every gift in the love of God. May it be yours. I am your sister and friend.
