Kahlil Gibran received by Jimbeau Walsh
My beautiful friends, it is I, your brother, Khalil Gibran.
I was drawn to spending time with my brother here because he wishes to receive and share practical advice for the soul. I recently shared some words with him, and I shall share just a few lines of those words with you, since you may already know them. You seek eternity, not knowing what it is, yet not wanting what it isn’t, for the eternal journey of the soul is a piece of timeless magnificence. I wanted to speak a bit about those words for those beyond this circle. Quite simply, wishing for eternity is the desire to continue after your sojourn on earth. And so, the second part, not wanting what that isn’t, addresses those who say, well, this is all there is. You drop the mortal frame, and it’s over. But the eternal journey of the soul is a magnificent one, transcending limitation.
When I passed into spirit, quite a famous person on earth, I had to confront my soul condition- things that my readers and those who admired the beauty in my work did not see, and I myself awakened to my shortcomings. I realized that I carried with me guilt, shame, remorse, and certain attachments to these things. I bring this up because so many crossing into spirit feel they deserve their suffering as their conscience awakens, just as on earth one may feel guilt at perhaps not suffering enough, not grieving enough, not being penalized for what they feel is some kind of great infraction. So, I began to see that beyond attachments to earthly pleasures and even simple attachments, I was attached to my suffering, and I could not bear too much light, too much laughter, too much joy, because I was unworthy. A man who had communed with angels in his writing as I did, and to all of you who come together to receive the truths and the beauty from those of us who now live in light and love in the celestial kingdom. I realized I clung to these attachments in a somewhat tenacious manner, and because I wished to be free of those, you might say encrustations, attachments, wounds, I did have to examine why. Why was I unworthy? Why was I clinging to my sadness when I had received such beauty, so much truth revealed to me that I shared with the world? And so, I took up serious prayer, which resulted not only in awareness, but a revelation of how one can somehow feel comforted in their sadness and grief and unworthiness and so forth.
As I prayed, the love of God flowed into my soul, and I received so much guidance, not only from celestial angels but from the Master himself because I had written about him in my book, Jesus: Son of Man, and of course, The Prophet alludes to him as well. Both books are full of practical advice and extol the virtues of non-attachment. This was pointed out to me. And so, my own writings, much of which was channeled as you may know, were able to help me climb out of any despair, any remorse that I felt bound by. For the great love of God truly sets you free. And as I had all the time in the world to consider, I no longer needed to fear eternity or the lack of it but began to feel the freedom of timelessness and the vastness of God’s creation and the company of celestial poets, art, artists, musicians.
Some of what occurred to me on my journey occurred to my friend, Charlie Chaplin, whom I knew on earth. For we often found ourselves in similar circles of creative souls, most especially in New York City. And what a wonder Charlie was to the world, bringing such joy and happiness and mirth, and now he is an inhabitant of the seventh heaven I shall call it, and we are dear friends, and we wish to serve you in whatever way you will allow us to do so.
I shall not linger on the subject of soul progression or attachments, but I do hope that I have shed some light for those in need of some guidance. I shall come again to my brother here with some poetry of soul, and when you are in need, you may call me. I shall come. I am your brother and friend, in Christ. I live in the celestial kingdom, and I love you. May God bless you all.
I am your brother, Khalil Gibran.
