Listen with your Soul

September 7th, 2026

Bassingham Retreat, Bassingham, UK

Inayat Khan received by Jimbeau Walsh

I am here, your brother Inayat Khan.

For those who do not know me, I am a celestial musician, and I was a musician while on Earth. I have spoken here before through my brother about the vibrations of one’s voice, and I’ve even given him an example: when one goes to see a doctor, and the doctor speaks with love and compassion, healing is already present. But I should like to speak now about listening. You are probably familiar with the words Be still and know I am God. This informs one to be still and listen,  listen with your soul, to be calm, so God can touch you because your soul is calling out. When you stop the world and engage in this prayerful form of listening, allowing the longings of your soul to reach out, a response always comes, and as you open your heart, the loving Creator opens your soul to the inflowing of Love Divine. This is the sweetest music. This is in tune with the music of the spheres, as it is called. This music is vibrating throughout the universe in many forms, in many ways, in many scales for those who listen. There are, in fact, individuals on the earth plane who can hear notes inaudible to others, but when they perform them, of course, they use scales that can be heard by the human ear.

Most importantly, if you are creative, whether you be a musician, a poet, a dancer, an actor, a painter, or a singer, and so forth, open up to the channel of God’s love. Allow this inflowing; allow it to permeate your being in stillness, listening with your soul, that you may in turn give this love, this gift to the world. For who doesn’t want to hear a beautiful song that touches the heart or a painting that astounds or a poem that resonates deeply? I leave you with these words. May the love of God bring a song to your heart, and may you share it with all. With all my love and blessings, and all of us here, I am your brother and friend in the love of God.

I am Hazrat Inayat Khan. May God bless you.
